Download the script into Ubuntu Server `git clone https://github.com/101t/psql-email-alert /opt`, then Install `PL/Python` and `PostgreSQL`.\n2. Connect to postgresql `sudo -u postgres psql`\n3. create database called `gorilladb`:\n\n```sql\ncreate database gorilladb;\ngrant all privileges on database gorilladb to postgres;\n\\q\n```\n\n4. instal pl/python, run the following command:\n```sh\nsudo apt-get install -y postgresql-plpython3-*\n```\nthen go to gorilladb and type run:\n```sql\nCREATE OR REPLACE LANGUAGE plpython3u;\n```        \n\n5. you can run script in `/opt/psql-email-alert/main.sh`\n6. copy and append `gorilla.cron` script into `nano /etc/crontab` then:\n```sh\ncat /opt/psql-email-alert/gorilla.cron \u003e\u003e /etc/crontab # please don't do this twice\n```\n7. check the mail cron in terminal using:\n```sh\nsystemctl status cron\nsystemctl restart cron\n```","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2F101t%2Fpsql-email-alert","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2F101t%2Fpsql-email-alert","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2F101t%2Fpsql-email-alert/lists"}
