Try OpenLogi.**\n\nRemap buttons, drive DPI and SmartShift, and switch profiles per app — without a Logitech account, telemetry, or the official Options+ install. No cloud, plain TOML config; the only network calls are device-image fetches and an opt-in, off-by-default update check.\n\n---\n\n## What it is\n\nOpenLogi talks to Logitech HID++ mice over a Logi Bolt receiver — or a\nBluetooth-direct / wired connection — without running Logi Options+. To explicitly\ntrack the latest GitHub release from `aprilnea/tap` instead:\n\n```sh\nbrew tap aprilnea/tap\nbrew install --cask aprilnea/tap/openlogi@latest\n```\n\n`openlogi@latest` is maintained by OpenLogi's release workflow and may update\nbefore the official cask autobump lands. Install either `openlogi` or\n`openlogi@latest`, not both.\n\nTo build from source, see [DEVELOPMENT.md](docs/DEVELOPMENT.md).\n\n### Linux device permissions (preview)\n\nThe CLI/device layer builds and runs on Linux today (`cargo build -p openlogi`;\nneeds `libudev-dev` + `pkg-config`). By default every `hidraw` node is\n`root:root 0600`, so without a udev rule the tools fail with\n`PermissionDenied (os error 13)`.\n\nInstall the bundled rule, which covers both transports — Bolt receiver (USB) and\nBluetooth-direct (which hangs off `uhid` and exposes no USB `idVendor`, so it is\nmatched by its HID id `0005:046D:*`):\n\n```sh\nsudo cp udev/70-openlogi.rules /etc/udev/rules.d/\nsudo udevadm control --reload-rules \u0026\u0026 sudo udevadm trigger\n# then power-cycle the device (or replug the receiver) so the ACL is applied\n```\n\nIt uses systemd `uaccess` (group-free, works under X11 and Wayland/GNOME).
