This README provides a basic description of the AMP program\nand the overall manifest and description for each file.\n\n\n## Assured Micropatching Program\n\nThe AMP program is a DARPA effort to develop technologies for advancing\nthe state of patching ELF binaries and verifying the stability of the\npatch that has been applied. The AMP program can be found here\nhttps://www.darpa.mil/program/assured-micropatching\n\nDARPA is releasing these files in the public domain to stimulate further\nresearch. Their release implies no obligation or desire to support additional\nwork in this space. The data is released as-is. DARPA makes no warranties as\nto the correctness, accuracy, or usefulness of the released data. In fact,\nsince the data was produced by a research prototype, it is practically guaranteed\nto be imperfect.\n\n\n## Description of Shiva\n\nShiva is the product of AMP-phase-2 and advances the state of ELF binary\npatching by introducing a custom ELF interpreter for loading and linking ELF\nrelocatable objects into the process image at runtime. Shiva aims to make patch\ndevelopment a seamless process, fitting right into the existing ELF ABI\ntoolchain.
