But you can also try it on macOS. \n\n## Getting Started\n\n### Linux\n\nIn order to use the library in Ubuntu (maybe other variations can also work but it's not tested) you've to install\n\n```\nsudo apt-get install libx11-dev libxtst-dev\n```\n\n### Usage\n\n```nodejs\nimport kepmon from \"kepmon\"\n\nconst position = kepmon.getPointerPosition()\nconst boundary = kepmon.getPointerBoundary()\nconst newXPos = boundary.xLimit \u003c position.x + 50 ? 0 : position.x + 50  \nkepmon.setPointerPosition(newXPos, position.y)\n\n```\nFor more information check the [keepMeOnScript.ts](./src/keepMeOnScript.ts).\n\n### Extending the library\n\nIn order to extend the system operations you've to do following steps:\n\nFirst of all you've to install node-gyp.\n\nnode-gyp is a tool for building native Addon modules for Node.js, using the same infrastructure as Node itself. With node-gyp, you can compile your C/C++ code into a binary that can be loaded by Node.js and used as if it were any other native module.\n\n#### Prerequisites\nBefore you can use node-gyp, you need to make sure you have the following installed:\n\n- Node.js and npm\n- Python (version 2.x)\n- Visual Studio Build Tools (for Windows only) or Xcode (for MacOS only)\n- The Windows SDK (for Windows only)\n- Installing node-gyp\n\nYou can install node-gyp globally with the following command:\n\n`\nnpm install -g node-gyp\n`\n\nOnce you have node-gyp installed, you can generate the necessary code with the code below\n\n`\nnode-gyp configure\nnode-gyp build\n`\n\nand than\n\n`\nnode-gyp rebuild\n`\n\nAfter that you'll get the `pointerService.node` file which is used for performing the hardware executions.\nSo execute now \n\n`npm i`\n\nin order to install required node modules. \n\nThe [binding](node_modules/bindings/README.md) module maps the cpp code through the exposed interface -\u003e see [PointerService](src/pointer/pointerService.ts)\nand binds it to the generated `node` file located in the binary directory. \n\nFor further instruction on how to use node-gyp and napi properly you can follow the (documentation)[https://nodejs.org/api/n-api.html] \n\nFeel free to make any suggestions or creating pull requests in order to provide a multi-platform support or further extensions.\n\n## License\n\nSee the [LICENSE](./LICENSE) file for licensing information.\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fahmetcavus%2Fkepmon","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fahmetcavus%2Fkepmon","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fahmetcavus%2Fkepmon/lists"}
