It is a syntax for defining\ncross-language data types. It is used as input to generate efficient\nand type-safe serializers, deserializers and validators. The current target\nlanguages are OCaml and Java.\n\nThe following opam packages are provided by the atd project:\n\n* atdgen: executable that generates OCaml code dealing with json and\n  biniou data formats\n* atdj: executable that generates Java code dealing with json\n* atd: library for parsing atd files used by code generators\n\nDocumentation\n--\n\n[here](http://atd.readthedocs.io/)\n\nHelp wanted\n--\n\nThe ATD suite of tools is developed and maintained by\nvolunteers\u0026mdash;users like you.\n[Various issues](https://github.com/mjambon/atd/issues) are in need\nof attention.
