The current Standards developed from three\ninitially separate initatives (Minimal Information, Data Representation,\nAPI), which converged over time. The further development of the\nStandards is currently carried out by the AIRR Community's `Standards\nWorking Group`_ (WG), which was the result of the fusion of the \"Data\nRepresentation\", \"Minimal Standards\" and parts of the `Common\nRepository`_ WGs.\n\n\nMiAIRR Minimal Information Standard\n===================================\n\nThe Minimal information about an Adaptive Immune Receptor Repertoire\n(**MiAIRR**) data standard defines around 60 metadata fields which\nshould be provided to facilitate evaluation and re-use a the data set.\nThese fields are grouped according to the various stage of the typical\nworkflow (e.g., study, subject, sample, experimental processing, data\nprocessing, data annotation). MiAIRR was originally published in 2017\n[Rubelt_2017]_ and has since been intergrated into the `AIRR Data\nSchema`_, which has now become the authorative reference for MiAIRR.\nFor further information see the `MiAIRR section`_ of the `AIRR Standards\ndocumentation`_.\n\n\nAIRR Standardized Data Representation\n=====================================\n\nThe standardarized data representation was first published in 2018\n[Vander_Heiden_2018]_, the current version of the schema can be found\nin this repository as `OpenAPI v2`_ and `OpenAPI v3`_ definitions. The\ntwo versions are functionally identical, but users should be aware that\nsupport for OpenAPI v2 will be discontinued in the intermediate future.\n\n\nAIRR Data Commons API\n=====================\n\nThe `AIRR Data Commons`_ (ADC) `API`_ [Christley_2020]_ provides\nprogrammatic access to query and download AIRR-seq data from ADC\nrepositories.\n\n\nImplementations\n===============\n\nThe AIRR Standards are supported by the following services:\n\n*  `AIRR Data Commons`_\n*  `CEDAR-AIRR`_\n\n\nReleases and Issues\n===================\n\nOfficial releases can be found in the `release`_ section of the\nrepository.
