It's also an\narchive of simulations using those models. It's free and open source\nsoftware ... and always will be.\n\nCatlearn is a package for R, and is very easy to install within that\nenvironment.\nFor a tutorial introduction to catlearn, and the Open Models\ninitiative more generally, see [Wills et al. (2017)](https://www.andywills.info/assets/pdf/wills2016plm.pdf).\nThere is also lots of information about catlearn on its  [website](https://www.andywills.info/catlearn/).\n\n## Installing the stable version\nMake sure you're running the latest version of R and then type:\n\n`install.packages('catlearn')`\n\nand then\n\n`library(catlearn)`.\n\n## Installing the latest (unstable) version\nIf you're not sure what \"unstable\" means in this context,\nyou probably want to install the **stable** version instead. If you're sure you want the unstable version,\nfirst install devtools and its dependencies.
