It is designed to be expandable, and serves as a single component in a larger system.\n\n## Parameters\n\nIn setup the following was used:\n\n* Raspberry Pi Zero W with Raspian Stretch Lite and RPiTX installed.\n* Copper whip antenna used for transmission.\n* Telescopic antenna with stand for better transmission (transmitting on RCRS requires a long, vertical antenna for ideal reception, without it, we had spots where the radio signal kind of just \"jumped\" over the receiver.)\n* JM Manufacturing (HK) Ltd. 1/24 New Race Car and Controller.\n\nEstimated budget: $30?\n(spent closer to $10 for the Pi + SD card + car.)\n\n## Setup\n\n* Verify parameters, clone repository.\n* On the Pi, go the repository folder and run `sudo python3 socket-server.py`.\n* Press enter when asked for an IP address, Linux accepts blank IPs.\n* On the client, run `sudo python3 socket-client.py`.\n* Enter the Pi's IP address when it asks.\n* Use WASD to control the car.\n\nPlease note the client doesn't check if the terminal is open, so it will detect any keys being pressed while the client is running.\n\n## Challenges\n\n* Do tricks (donuts on a table, etc.)\n* USB rechargable (not hard.)\n* Find waypoints and do pathfinding via GPS, IR, etc.\n* Go to charging stations automatically.\n* Track your feet and follow you around.\n* Find and deliver physical items.","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fakrivus%2Fhackcar","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fakrivus%2Fhackcar","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fakrivus%2Fhackcar/lists"}
