Proposals based on this template have\n\u003e been successfully submitted in 2022 and 2024 (to my knowledge). Newer\n\u003e versions of this template are available and reporting any discrepancies is\n\u003e highly appreciated!\n\nLaTeX class and template for Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellow\ngrant applications.\n\n* Details and original template is provided\n  [here](https://rea.ec.europa.eu/funding-and-grants/horizon-europe-marie-sklodowska-curie-actions/msca-postdoctoral-fellowships_en)\n  (calls are updated each year).\n\n* For the official editable version of the template, you must start the submission\n  process. The template will then be available on the left-hand side in a section\n  named \"Download Part B templates\".\n\n* For a similar template for the Doctoral Network see\n  [msca-dn](https://github.com/pgarner/msca-dn).\n\nUsage\n-----\n\nTo use this template, you essentially just need 3 files: `msca-pf.cls`,\n`msca-pf-part-b1-template.tex` and `msca-pf-part-b2-template.tex`.\n\n* The `msca-pf.cls` file contains the required formatting and some helpful options\n  (described below).\n\n* The other two files contain the actual sections and documentation text from\n  the MSCA program. These could be renamed to whatever you prefer, e.g.\n  `project-acronym-b1.tex`.\n\nThe two templates for Part B1 and B2 contain a lot of text used to describe\nwhat the various sections should contain. This should, of course, be deleted as\nwell. However, the sections themselves (and some tables) should stay in the\ngiven format and location.\n\nFinally, as the documents themselves mention at the start: when in doubt,\nalways consult the official documentation!\n\nCompilation\n-----------\n\nThe resulting PDF files are included for easy viewing. The template is compatible\nwith both PDFLaTeX and LuaLaTeX/XeLaTeX. It can be easily build with e.g. `latexmk`\n```sh\nlatexmk -pdflua msca-pf-part-b1-template.tex\nlatexmk -pdflua msca-pf-part-b2-template.tex\n```\n\nDocumentation\n-------------\n\nThis packages provides the `msca-pf` class that is based on the\nKOMA-script `scrartcl` class and accepts any options meant for it. It can\nbe used as\n```tex\n\\documentclass[12pt,layoutgrid,draftproposal]{msca-pf}\n\n% ... preamble ...\n\n\\begin{document}\n\n% ... content ...\n\n\\end{document}\n```\n\nThe class has two options meant for drafting:\n\n* `layoutgrid`: overlays a grid on top of each page to check margins and\n  other alignment issues.\n* `draftproposal`: adds helpful drafting options, such as line numbers and\n  a time stamp.\n\nIt also provides a few useful commands that can be used in the proposal. The\nfollowing commands are mandatory:\n\n* `mscaidentifier`: the call identifier, e.g. `HORIZON-MSCA-2022-PF-01`. This\n  should be set to the appropriate version by default.\n* `mscaproject`: the acronym for the project.\n\nAdditionally, there are also some commands to help constructing the CV and other\nlittle tables in the submission:\n\n* `mscaorgoverview`: an environment (wrapper around `tabular`) that defines\n  the table template from Section 5.1 for participating organisations. This is a\n  fixed 6 column table.\n* `mscaorgcapacity`: an environment (wrapper around `longtable`) that defines\n  the table template from Section 5.2 for participating organisations. This is a\n  fixed 2 column table.\n* `cvitem`: an environment to define a nicely aligned CV item.\n* `\\cventry{dates}{name}{details}{location}`: a generic entry in the CV. Use\n  `\\cventryitem` to get one already wrapped in the `cvitem` environment.\n* `\\cvpub{date}{authors}{title}{journal}`: a publication. Use\n  `\\cvpubitem` to get one already wrapped in the `cvitem` environment.\n* `\\cvdetail{name}{description}`: a additional description for an entry. This\n  must be added in the same `cvitem` environment as the entry itself to use the\n  same alignment.\n\nA Gantt chart must also be provided in the proposal. There are some LaTeX packages,\ne.g. [pgfgantt](https://ctan.org/pkg/pgfgantt?lang=en), that can be used to\ncreate such charts. However, you can also just use a third party application,\nexport the chart as a PNG or PDF, and include it like that.\n\nFonts\n-----\n\nThe official MSCA guidelines require the Times New Roman font on Windows or\nmacOS and the Nimbus Roman font on Linux. When using PDFLaTeX this package\nuses the `newtx` fonts. When using XeLaTeX or LuaLaTeX, we try to load\nthe Times New Roman font and, if it is not available, the Nimbus Roman font.\n\nIf these do not work for you, you can load fonts yourself using e.g.\n```tex\n% on PDFLaTeX\n\\usepackage{newtxtext}\n\\usepackage{newtxmath}\n\n% on XeLaTeX / LuaLaTeX\n\\setmainfont{Times New Roman}\n```\n\n## License\n\n[Creative Commons Zero v1.0 Universal](https://creativecommons.org/public-domain/cc0/) (CC0-1.0).\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Falexfikl%2Fmsca-pf","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Falexfikl%2Fmsca-pf","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Falexfikl%2Fmsca-pf/lists"}
