The test requires an HDR 4K display and a Linux environment with the X server installed.\n\n## Getting Started\n\n### Prerequisites\n\nTo run the test, you will need the following software installed on your system:\n\n- X server\n- Python 3\n- GTK 3\n- ImageJ (for displaying images with a 10-bit color depth)\n- ImageIO (for reading image files)\n\nYou can install these packages on Ubuntu or Debian-based systems by running the following command:\n\n```\nsudo apt-get install xserver-xorg python3 python3-gi python3-gi-cairo gir1.2-gtk-3.0 imagej\n```\n\n### Installing\n\nTo install ImageIO, you can use pip:\n\n```\npip3 install imageio\n```\n\n### Running the test\n\nTo run the test, follow these steps:\n\n1. Clone the repository:\n\n```\ngit clone https://github.com/yourusername/HDR-10bpp-Display-Test.git\n```\n\n2. Navigate to the project directory:\n\n```\ncd HDR-10bpp-Display-Test\n```\n\n3. Stop the display manager and X server:\n\n```\nsudo systemctl stop lightdm || sudo systemctl stop gdm\nsudo pkill Xorg\n```\n\n4. Start the X server with a color depth of 30:\n\n```\nstartx -- -depth 30\n```\n\n5. If the X server was started successfully, the output of the following command should indicate a depth of 30:\n\n```\nxwininfo -root | grep Depth\n```\n\n6. Launch the viewer application:\n\n```\npython3 Viewer.py\npython3 Viewer3.py # video support\n```\n\n7. The viewer window will open. To display an image, run the following command:\n\n```\nimagej --no-splash /path/to/image\n```\n\n8. The image should be displayed in the viewer window. Verify that the image is displayed correctly and that the colors are accurate.\n\n## Troubleshooting\n\nIf the X server does not start with a color depth of 30, try starting it with a color depth of 24:\n\n```\nstartx -- -depth 24\n```\n\n## License\n\nThis project is licensed under the MIT License - see the [LICENSE.md](LICENSE.md) file for details.\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fantoinebou12%2Fhdr-10bpp-display-test","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fantoinebou12%2Fhdr-10bpp-display-test","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fantoinebou12%2Fhdr-10bpp-display-test/lists"}
