These are typically longer-form,\nnarrative presentations of functionality in the [Astropy core\npackage](https://github.com/astropy/astropy) and any [affiliated\npackages](http://www.astropy.org/affiliated/index.html). The tutorials are different\nfrom the [Astropy core package documentation](http://docs.astropy.org), which presents a\nmore structured and exhaustive view of the Astropy core package.\n\n\n## Viewing and running the tutorials\n\nTo see the tutorials rendered as static web pages, see the [Learn Astropy\nwebsite](https://learn.astropy.org).\n\nTo execute the tutorials interactively, either use Binder to run the tutorials\nremotely or clone this repository to your local machine.\n\n### Run the tutorials in your browser with Binder\n\n[![Binder](http://mybinder.org/badge.svg)](https://mybinder.org/v2/gh/astropy/astropy-tutorials/main?filepath=tutorials)\n\n### Run the tutorials locally\n\nClone this repository with `git` or download an archive of the repository from\nGitHub. You will need to have [Jupyter notebook](http://jupyter.org/) and IPython\ninstalled. Then install the `requirements.txt` that are specified in the folder\ncontaining the specific `.ipynb` tutorial you wish to run. For example, to run the\n`FITS-cubes.ipynb` tutorial, first install:\n\n    python -m pip install -r FITS-cubes/requirements.txt\n\n\n## Contributing tutorial material\n\nWe are always interested in incorporating new tutorials into Learn Astropy and\nthe Astropy Tutorials series.
