Specifically, Kiva is used to calculate heat loss and gain on a timestep\nbasis from building foundations. The goal is to create a tool that can integrate\nthe multi-dimensional heat transfer into standard building energy simulation\nengines.\n\nDocumentation\n-------------\n\nSee the [online documentation](http://kiva.readthedocs.org/en/latest/) for information on using Kiva and creating Kiva input files.\n\nContributing\n------------\n\nKiva is configured as a cross-platform CMake project. To build Kiva, you'll need to clone the git repository and use CMake (pointing to the kiva root directory).\n\nPre-requisites:\n\n1. A C++ compiler (e.g., Clang, GCC, MSVC)\n2. CMake\n\nBuilding Kiva from source\n-------------------------\n\n1. Clone the git repository.\n2. Make a directory called `build` inside the top level of your source.\n3. Open a console in the `build` directory.\n4. Type `cmake ..`.\n5. Type `cmake --build . --config Release`.\n6.
