Use the **Back** key to\nbackspace. You may use an external keyboard. Letters may also be\nentered by tapping a slot to select, then tapping a letter. This can\nalso be used to change letters. When you have finished a guess, tap\nthe **Enter** key. If you have guessed the word correctly, a fanfare\nwill play and a short message will appear. Tap the word for it's\ndefinition.\n\n## Display colours\nLetters which are in the word but in the wrong place will turn\nyellow. If they are in the right place they will turn green. If they\nare not in the word they will turn grey. Keep trying until you have\nguessed the word. The display will scroll up if you run out of\nguesses. The colours may be changed by selecting **Highlight colours**\nin the menu.\n\n## Lock letters\nLong press on a letter in the current guess to lock it, which will\nturn it grey. Long press again to remove the lock. Locked letters will\nbe skipped when entering and deleting letters. Long presses on letters\nnot part of the current guess will pop up a menu as below.\n\n## Add accents\nLong press on a letter in a completed guess. This will show a pop-up\nmenu of unaccented and accented letters. Pick the required unaccented\nor accented letter.\n\n## Swap enter/backspace\nLong press on the enter or backspace key to swap the keys.\n\n## Meaning\nTap any word to display the meaning of that word. Add any required\naccents as above.\n\n## Refresh\nTap the **Refresh** button in the toolbar to clear the display and\nguess another word. Words are chosen at random from a list, and are\nchecked that they haven't been used recently.\n\n## Share\n### Image\nShare an image of the current display.\n\n### Text\nShare the letters and colours of finished guesses. Select the\n[WordleSolver](https://github.com/billthefarmer/wordlesolver) app to\npick the next guess.\n\n### Code\nDisplay an alphanumeric code and a QR code which represents a new\nsequence of words to guess. This code may be shared with another copy\nof Gurgle on another device to set the same sequence of words. Tapping\nthe QR code button on the dialog shares the QR code image. Tapping the\ncode button shares the alphanumeric code.\n\n## Themes\nSelect coloured theme from the **Theme** button in the toolbar.\n\n## Options\n * **Confetti** \u0026ndash; Select confetti display on guessing word.\n * **Fanfare** \u0026ndash; Select fanfare on guessing word.\n * **Default word** \u0026ndash; Select to enable default word. The first\n   word entered will become the default word entered at the beginning\n   of each game. Reset to clear word.\n\n## Dictionary\nSelect the dictionary to look up a word meaning. Wiktionary (online)\nis built in, [Aard2](https://f-droid.org/en/packages/itkach.aard2/)\nand\n[Quickdic](https://f-droid.org/en/packages/de.reimardoeffinger.quickdic/)\nare apps which can be installed from [F-Droid](https://f-droid.org/).\n\n## Language\nSelect **Language** from the menu.\n\n## Get code\n### Code\nEnter the code shared by another copy of Gurgle to set the same\nsequence of words. If a game is in progress tap the refresh button to\nstart the new sequence. You may also make up your own code. It doesn't\nneed the two equals symbols on the end ('='), but will fail with just\none.\n\n### QR code\nOpens the camera app on the phone to take a photo of a QR code. The\napp will attempt to decode it. There are plenty of very good QR code\nand barcode scanner apps that do a better job.\n\n### Receiving a code\nIf the app is sent a code or a QR code image it will set a new\nsequence of words if the code is decoded successfully. This does not\naffect the current game. If a game is in progress tap the refresh\nbutton to start the new sequence.\n\n## Highlight colours\nA dialog will pop up showing two guesses, one containing some letters\nin the word in the wrong place and a correct guess, and three\nspectrums. Change the colour of the letters in the wrong place by\ntapping on the top spectrum, and the correct letters with the middle\nspectrum. Change the shade of grey of the letters not in the word with\nthe bottom spectrum.
