The provided\nfunctionality can be accessed as a Python library or through a visual\nprogramming interface (Orange Canvas). The latter is also suitable for\nnon-programmers.\n\nIn Orange Canvas the analyst connects basic computational units, called\nwidgets, into data flow analytics schemas. Two units-widgets can be\nconnected if they share a data type. Compared to other popular tools like\nTaverna, Orange widgets are high-level, integrated potentially complex\ntasks, but are specific enough to be used independently. Even elaborate\nanalyses rarely consist of more than ten widgets; while tasks such as\nclustering and enrichment analysis could be executed with up to five\nwidgets. While building the schema each widget is independently controlled\nwith settings, the settings do not conceptually burden the analyst.\n\nOrange Bioinformatics provides access to publicly available data, like GEO data sets, GO and KEGG.\nAll features can be combined with powerful visualization, network exploration and\ndata mining techniques from the Orange data mining framework.\n\nInstallation\n------------\n\nTo install the add-on with pip use\n\n    pip install Orange3-bioinformatics\n\nTo register this add-on with Orange, but keep the code in the development directory (do not copy it to\nPython's site-packages directory), run\n\n    pip install -e .\n\nDocumentation / widget help can be built by running\n\n    make html htmlhelp\n\nfrom the doc directory.\n\nUsage\n-----\n\nAfter the installation, the widgets from this add-on are registered with Orange.
