documentation at https://jsonism.readthedocs.io\n\nWhy use Jsonism?\n----------------\nJsonism is a great alternative to *jsonschema* when you just want to do some simple validation of JSON without your code getting horrendously complicated. \n\nIt's quick to set up a basic schema checker.\n\nGetting Started\n---------------\n\n### Install from pip\n\n```pip install jsonism```\n\n### Import the checker\n\n```python\nfrom jsonism.checker import validate\n```\n\nThe `validate` function returns `True` if the input you give it matches the schema that you provide.\n\n### Basic flat objects\n\n```python\nschema = {\n    \"Bob\": str,\n    \"Lucy\": int,\n    \"Bert\": bool\n}\ninput = {\n    \"Bob\": \"Is Bob\",\n    \"Lucy\": 13,\n    \"Bert\": True\n}\nvalidate(input, schema)\n```\n\n### Lists\n\n```python\ninput = [\"Bob\", \"Alice\", \"John\"]\nschema = [str]\nvalidate(input, schema)\n```\n\n### Other stuff\n```python\ninput = {\"Usernames\": [{\"username\": \"Bob\", \"age\": 23}, {\"username\": \"Bill\", \"age\": 98}]}\nschema = {\"Usernames\": [{\"username\": str, \"age\": int}]}\nvalidate(input, schema)\n```\n\nObviously for more complex json, you can `json.loads` the input.\n\n### Permissive validation\n\nJsonism is *permissive* when it comes to extra elements. As long as the elements listed in the schema are provided, `validate` will return `True`. If additional elements are added to the input, `validate` will still return `True`.\n\n```python\nschema = {\n    \"Bob\": str,\n    \"Lucy\": int,\n    \"Bert\": bool\n}\ninput = {\n    \"Bob\": \"Is Bob\",\n    \"Lucy\": 13,\n    \"Bert\": True,\n    \"Colin\": 21\n}\nvalidate(input, schema)  # Will return True\n```\n\n## Value validation\n\nThis is absolutely optional, in order to keep things as simple as possible and enable the use of the in-built types `int`, `str`, `bool`, and `float` wherever possible. It will always support the very simple initialisation shown above. We also now support value validation.
