Check out the doc directory for he corresponding reference \nmanual that describes the simulator and how to use it.\n\nSee the file COPYING for the copyright notice and copying conditions.\n\nTo quickly verify that you've got everything and that it works:\n\n  1. \"make\" the top-level directory.\n    \n  2. \"cd\" to the subdirectory called \"valid\".\n\n  3. type \"runvalid\".  This will execute the simulator a number of times, using\n     sample configurations and workloads.  Among them are example validation\n     experiments for a number of different SCSI disk drives.  To\n     verify that things are working correctly, compare the result\n     values from each execution to the expected value (provided on the\n     preceding line), which is rounded.\n\nIf you plan to use disksim as a stand-alone simulator, these examples and\nthe user manual should get you started.\n\nIf you plan to incorporate disksim into a larger-scale simulator (e.g., a\nfull system simulator), disksim_interface.c should be very helpful in\ngetting it to happen quickly and relatively painlessly.  It is not compiled\ninto disksim for standalone operation.  Thanks to Eran Gabber at Lucent,\nthere is now a simple example of a system-level simulator incorporating\ndisksim as a slave -- check out syssim* (before and after compilation).\n\nPlease send bug reports, experiences, and problems to disksim@ece.cmu.edu.\nIf you find disksim useful, please let us know about it!\n\nThere are two public mailing lists for disksim:\ndisksim-announce@ece.cmu.edu\ndisksim-users@ece.cmu.edu\n\ndisksim-announce only receives official announcements about bugfixes\nand new versions of DiskSim.  disksim-users is for public discussion.\n\nPlease visit one of these sites to join the mailing lists:\n\nhttps://sos.ece.cmu.edu/mailman/listinfo/disksim-announce\nhttps://sos.ece.cmu.edu/mailman/listinfo/disksim-users\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fbootbool%2Fdisksim","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fbootbool%2Fdisksim","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fbootbool%2Fdisksim/lists"}
