It is really intended to be a platform\nto build calculators on, each calculator being highly customizable in terms of\nuser experience.\n\n## Why name the project DB48X?\n\nDB stands for \"Dave and Bill\".\nDave and Bill are more commonly known as Hewlett and Packard.\nOne of their great legacy is a legendary series of calculators.\n\n\n## How to build this project\n\nThis project can build either simulated calculators to run on a PC, Linux or\nMac, or firmware for real calculators.\n\n### Building a simulator\n\n1. Install the required dependencies, notably compiler toolchain and Qt6. The\n   correct way to do this depends on your operating system.\n\n2. Run `make` to build all the possible simulators, or `make \u003ctarget\u003e` to only\n   build the simulator for that target. Available targets can obtained by using\n   `make help`.\n\n3. If you specified a given target, the `bd48x-\u003ctarget\u003e` executable is placed in\n   the top-level directory, where `\u003ctarget\u003e` is the name of the target you\n   selected. If you did not specify a target, all possible simulators are placed\n   in the top-level directory.\n\n### Building a firmware image\n\n1. Install the required dependencies, notably cross-compiler toolchains. The\n   correct way to do this depends on your operating system.\n\n2. Run `make prime-fw` for HP Prime firmware, `make dm42-fw` for DM42 firmware,\n   `make hp50g-fw` for HP50G firmware, and so on. The list of supported targets is\n   available by typing `make help`.\n\n3.
