This plugin allows you to add\nWeb Site service monitoring to Cacti. You simply add service checks, the desired\nservice check URL, and the expected response from it's interface, as well as any\nescallation required if a service check fails. The plugin records statistics\nabout the connection to the website, it's response, and can alert when the\nstatus changes.\n\nThis plugin has existed for years, but up until this year, has never been made\npublic. It can be an asset used to address some monitoring requirements for\ncustomers who not only monitor servers, but need to know that the Web Services\non those servers are operating as expected.\n\nThis plugin, like many others, integrates with Cacti's Maintenance or 'maint'\nplugin so you can setup maintenance schedules so that known times when a service\nis going to be down can be configured so that escallation does not needlessly\ntake place during maintenance periods.\n\n## Installation\n\nTo install the webseer plugin, simply copy the plugin_webseer directory to\nCacti's plugins directory and rename it to simply 'webseer'. Once you have done\nthis, goto Cacti's Plugin Management page, Install and Enable the webseer. Once\nthis is complete, you can grant users permission to create service checks for\nvarious Web Sites and Services.\n\n## Bugs and Feature Enhancements\n\nBug and feature enhancements for the webseer plugin are handled in GitHub. If\nyou find a first search the Cacti forums for a solution before creating an issue\nin GitHub.\n\n-----------------------------------------------\nCopyright (c) 2004-2024 - The Cacti Group, Inc.\n\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fcacti%2Fplugin_webseer","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fcacti%2Fplugin_webseer","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fcacti%2Fplugin_webseer/lists"}
