7 Steps towards Reproducible Research \n\nThis lesson is a template lesson that uses [The Carpentries Workbench][workbench].\nFeel free to use it as a starter template for teaching those around you about the topics of Reproducible Research.\n\n## Create a new repository from this template\n\nTo use this template to start a new lesson repository, \nmake sure you're logged into Github.   \nVisit https://github.com/carpentries-incubator/ReproducibleResearch/generate\nand follow the instructions.\nChecking the 'Include all branches' option will save some time waiting for the first website build\nwhen your new repository is initialised.\n\nIf you have any questions, contact [@tobyhodges](https://github.com/tobyhodges) for questions about the Carpentries workbench, or [@amandamiotto](https://github.com/amandamiotto) for questions about the Reproducible Research content.\n\n## Configure the repo\n\nFollow the steps below to\ncomplete the initial configuration of a new lesson repository built from this template:\n\n1. **Make sure GitHub Pages is activated:**\n   navigate to _Settings_,\n   select _Pages_ from the left sidebar,\n   and make sure that `gh-pages` is selected as the branch to build from.\n   If no `gh-pages` branch is available, check _Actions_ to see if the first\n   website build workflows are still running.\n   The branch should become available when those have completed.\n1. **Adjust the `config.yaml` file:**\n   this file contains global parameters for your lesson site.\n   Individual fields within the file are documented with comments (beginning with `#`)\n   - `title`\n   - `created`\n   - `keywords`\n   - `life_cycle` (the default, _pre-alpha_, is the appropriate for brand new lessons)\n   - `contact`\n1. **Annotate the repository** with site URL and topic tags:\n   navigate back to the repository landing page and\n   click on the gear wheel/cog icon (similar to ⚙️) \n   at the top-right of the _About_ box.\n   Check the \"Use your GitHub Pages website\" option,\n   and [add some keywords and other annotations to describe your lesson](https://cdh.carpentries.org/the-carpentries-incubator.html#topic-tags)\n   in the _Topics_ field.\n   At minimum, these should include:\n   - `lesson`\n   - the life cycle of the lesson (e.g. `pre-alpha`)\n   - the human language the lesson is written in (e.g. `deutsch`)\n1. **Adjust the \n   `CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md`, `CONTRIBUTING.md`, and `LICENSE.md` files**\n   as appropriate for your project.\n   -  `CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md`: \n      if you are using this template for a project outside The Carpentries,\n      you should adjust this file to describe \n      who should be contacted with Code of Conduct reports,\n      and how those reports will be handled.\n   -  `CONTRIBUTING.md`:\n      depending on the current state and maturity of your project,\n      the contents of the template Contributing Guide may not be appropriate.\n      You should adjust the file to help guide contributors on how best\n      to get involved and make an impact on your lesson.\n   -  `LICENSE.md`:\n      in line with the terms of the CC-BY license,\n      you should ensure that
