Traced for [Arize Phoenix](https://github.com/Arize-ai/phoenix).\n\n![Document Agent](./assets/preview.png)\n\n## Running\n\nThe document agent leverages Node.js 24 in order to execute without transpilation.\n\nTo run, just simply run the following command:\n\n```bash\npnpm i\nexport OPENAI_API_KEY=your-openai-api-key\n# running nodejs v23 or higher\npnpm start\n```\n\n## Tracing\n\nEvery interaction with the agent will be traced and sent to Phoenix in one giant agent trace when the user exits the agent.\n\nTo start a temporary in-memory Phoenix tracing server, run the following command:\n\n```bash\npnpm d:up\n```\n\nTo delete the phoenix server, run the following command:\n\n```bash\npnpm d:down\n```\n\n### Viewing Traces\n\nTraces can be viewed at http://localhost:6006/ in the project \"document-agent\".\n\nMany interstitial spans will be produced while talking to the agent.
