repository contains native design files for Model Form B-1 in appendix B\nto Regulation F as finalized in the December 2020 Debt Collection Rule.\nThis model form is referred to as the model validation notice.\n\n\n## About the debt collection rule\n\nOn December 18, 2020, the Bureau issued amendments to Regulation F,\n12 CFR part 1006 (December 2020 Rule),\nwhich implements the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).\nRegulation F prescribes Federal rules governing the activities of\ndebt collectors, as that term is defined in the FDCPA.\nThe December 2020 Rule, among other things, clarifies the information that\ndebt collectors must provide to a consumer\nat the outset of debt collection communications and\nprovides a model validation notice containing such information.\nModel Form B-1 in appendix B is the model validation notice that\ndebt collectors may use to comply with the\ninformation and form requirements of § 1006.34(c) and (d)(1).  \n\nThe December 2020 Rule, including use of Model Form B-1,\nis effective November 31, 2021.  \n\nRead more about the rule in our\n[press
