`setuptools_scm_git_semver`\n\n[SemVer]-compatible hooks for [`setuptools_scm`].\n\nThis package was created because `setuptools_scm` produces [PEP 440] compliant version numbers,\nwhich are not always compatible with SemVer.\n\n## Usage\n\nUsage is no different from normal setuptools_scm -- this package just adds 1\nversion scheme and local scheme each:\n\n- `guess-next-rc`: Returns the next version as RC when not on a clean tag\n\n- `time-dot-node`: Returns a local version of +\u003ctime\u003e.\u003cnode\u003e\n\nIn addition, if a version tag from SCM is not available, the content of\nVERSION.txt is used.\n\nExample configurations to get version numbers that are both valid python\npackage versions and SemVer versions, and fall back on what's in VERSION.txt if\nnot in
