Our favorite childhood game Space Invaders and our favorite movie Star Wars. This inspired our project which is renovated Space Invaders in Star Wars theme with motion detection!\n\n## What it does?👨‍💻\nThe user plays the role of a Jedi, defeating the aliens with his lightsaber! To modernize it, we decided to use motion controls instead of the classic keypad.\n \n## How we built it ⚙️\n### Python\n - we used opencv to detect and label the hands\n - the label generated was used to control the player object in the game made using pygame.\n### Figma\n - we used figma to plan out a wireframe and to materialise the idea for the ui.\n### Adobe-illustrator and photoshop\n - we used them to create the assets.\n\n## Challenges we ran into 💻\n- Working with motion detection for the first time!\n-  Also, our first experience with game development!\n\n## Accomplishments that we're proud of 🏆\n- Making sick graphics!!\n- Modernizing a classic game!\n\n## What we learnt 📚\nTeamwork makes the dream work!\n\n## What's next for Space Invaders?🔥\nTrying out a bunch of motion detection technologies like eye and hand movement detection!!\n\nHere's the small demo of **Space Invaders**.
