Mega ST/STE, Falcon and TT users should  download  the\n\tHSMODEM  archive  for  themselves  and   customise   their   own\n\tconfiguration.\n\n\t\tBanana ANSI is a standard created by Paul Wheaton  which\n\tcombines ANSI,  VT100,  pseudo-ANSI  and  pseudo-VT100  into  an\n\temulation which most modem services expect and use. To find  out\n\tmore, download BANSI002.ZIP from Ooh! BBS.\n\n\t\tChickoCom is freeware meaning you may distribute it  far\n\tand wide as long as the archive remains intact and no files  are\n\taltered or go  missing  in  any  way.  The  files  CHICKOCO.PRG,\n\tSTATLINE.PI1 and README.TXT are copyright Andrzej Cichocki 1997.\n\tDRVIN.PRG and MFP.PRG belong  to  Harun  Scheutzow.  The  latest\n\tversion of ChickoCom will always be on 42BBS.\n\n\n\tCHICKOCOM\n\t\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\n\n\t\tThis  simple  little  terminal  is   both   faster   and\n\temulates ANSI more accurately than AnsiTerm v1.90 by TWS. At the\n\tmoment, I am still working on it meaning a few escape  sequences\n\tare unsupported (only two!) and there  are  no  file  transfers.\n\tHowever, it has enough features for you  to  play  online  games\n\twithout problems, which is the task I programmed it for.\n\n\t\tChickoCom should work on any ST, but I am only  able  to\n\ttest it with my 1040 STE, TOS 1.62. I have no  idea  whether  it\n\twill work on the Falcon or not, but if anyone wants to have a go\n\tthen let me know what happens.\n\n\t\tMake sure STATLINE.PI1  is  in  the  same  directory  as\n\tCHICKOCO.PRG, and that  HSMODEM  has  installed.  Remember  that\n\tDRVIN.PRG must run before any others. Then just double click  on\n\tCHICKOCO.PRG.\n\n\t\tThe terminal itself  is  entirely  keyboard  based,  and\n\tyou're expected to type in modem commands  yourself  -  this  is\n\tmuch easier than it sounds. Use the commands below  followed  by\n\tReturn to do stuff.\n\n\t\tATZ\t\tresets your modem - do this first.\n\n\t\tATDT \u003cnumber\u003e\ttone dials  the  specified  BBS  number.\n\t\t\t\tA result code  of  CONNECT  \u003cbaud  rate\u003e\n\t\t\t\tindicates a  successful  connection,  NO\n\t\t\t\tCARRIER means it was unsuccessful.\n\n\t\tATDT #43#\tturns BT Call Waiting off - if left  on,\n\t\t\t\tconnections may be  disrupted.  Press  a\n\t\t\t\tkey  to  hang  up  after  you  hear  the\n\t\t\t\tmessage.\n\n\t\tATDT *43#\tturns BT Call Waiting on.\n\n\t\tATDL\t\tredials the previous number.\n\n\t\tATL \u003cvolume\u003e\tcontrols speaker volume. 0 is  quietest,\n\t\t\t\t3 is loudest. The default is 2.\n\n\t\tATM \u003cflag\u003e\t0 turns the modem's speaker off, 1 turns\n\t\t\t\tit on.\n\n\t\tThese commands and more  can  be  found  in  your  modem\n\tmanual. To simply dial a BBS, use ATZ to  reset  the  modem  and\n\tthen use ATDT followed by the number of the BBS to dial it up.\n\n\t\tThese keys do stuff within ChickoCom itself.\n\n\t\tF8\t\thangs up. Please use respectfully.\n\n\t\tF9\t\tresets the terminal to the state it  was\n\t\t\t\tin when first loaded. Use this when  you\n\t\t\t\tfinish a call.\n\n\t\tF10\t\tquits ChickoCom. Make  sure  you're  off\n\t\t\t\tline first.\n\n\t\tNote that F9 will not hang up if a call is in progress.\n\n\n\tHISTORY\n\t\"\"\"\"\"\"\"\n\n\tVersion and date\tComments\n\n\t0.1\t08/07/97\tFirst freeware release  of  ChickoCom  -\n\t\t\t\talso my first ever software  release  of\n\t\t\t\tall  time!  This  version  was  slightly\n\t\t\t\tcrippled and I didn't  acknowledge  some\n\t\t\t\tpeople I should have done.\n\n\t0.2\t12/07/97\tMore escape sequences supported,  cursor\n\t\t\t\tkeys et cetera work. A minor bug causing\n\t\t\t\tthe  status  line  to  be   occasionally\n\t\t\t\toverwritten is  fixed.  The  online  and\n\t\t\t\tcaps lock lights now work, as  does  the\n\t\t\t\ttimer. No need to reset after each call.\n\t\t\t\tProper acknowledgement in documentation.\n\n\t0.3\t15/07/97\tCursor added, timer improved, minor  bug\n\t\t\t\twith the online  light  fixed.  Lots  of\n\t\t\t\tescape  sequences  added,  only   insert\n\t\t\t\tcharacter and delete  character  to  go.\n\t\t\t\tDodgy code made less dodgy. Hang  option\n\t\t\t\tadded.
