If you use a PCBA service, it is most economical\nto have the bottom side assembled and then hand-solder the small\nnumber of top-side components.\n\nIn addition, the [threaded inserts](https://www.digikey.com/en/products/detail/keystone-electronics/24929/16343672) are not generally stocked by JLCPCB\nand so are probably easier to hand assemble.\n\nA bezel for the board, which can be 3d printed, can be found in\n[LEDMatrix-cover-Body.step](./LEDMatrix-cover-Body.step).  This was\ndesigned in FreeCad and the source is `LEDMatrix-cover.FCStd`.\n\nIt is intended that 4mil transparency be used to create legends\nfor the different sections of the display, and then the entire\ntop surface be covered with 0.2mm ND film to achieve a consistent\nlook.  A template for the legends is in\n[LEDMatrix-template.pdf](./LEDMatrix-template.pdf) and sample\nlegends ready to print (or modify!) are in\n[LEDMatrix-sample-legends.svg](./LEDMatrix-sample-legends.svg).","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fcscott%2Fsevensegmentinputmodule","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fcscott%2Fsevensegmentinputmodule","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fcscott%2Fsevensegmentinputmodule/lists"}
