Coding experience is not a\n   prerequisite for this workshop and we will explain core concepts as\n   we go along.\n1. **Background reading**: Read the\n   [Hobley et al. (2017)](https://www.earth-surf-dynam.net/5/21/2017/esurf-5-21-2017.html)\n   and [Barnhart et al. (2020)](https://www.earth-surf-dynam-discuss.net/esurf-2020-12/) open source papers about Landlab\n\n\n## Requirements\n\n* Computer\n* Web browser\n* Coffee (optional, but recommended)\n\n\n## Get Started\n\n1. [Create an account](https://csdms.rc.colorado.edu/hub/signup) on the CSDMS JupyterHub\n2. Provide a username and password - it can be whatever you like\n3.
