It provides the\ngoodness of `libreadline` (its ubiquity, powerful support for inputting\ntext, as well as configurability) while leaving the actual character\ninput in the hands of a user (or developer).\n\nThis can be a powerful tool for terminal based (but not necessarily\ncommand line based) applications that want to handle input on their own\nterms and only harness `libreadline` for a subset of their text input\nneeds.\nBut even graphical applications, which typically are not using file\nstream based input (or a terminal for that matter) at all, are enabled\nto use `libreadline` for providing an input experience as usually only\nknown on the command line.\n\n\nUsage\n-----\n\nIntegration of the crate into an application or library generally\ncontains the following parts:\n```rust\n// Create a \"context\" for interacting with libreadline.
