Unirepo\n\nUnirepo is an extremely opinionated TypeScript build tool.\n\nTypical monorepo management tools in the Node.js ecosystem provide automation\naround package maintenance, but still permit and require users to muck around\nwith poly-package configuration. Package boundaries must be manually\nmaintained, each with its own sub-configuration.\n\nUnirepo is different because sub-package configuration is managed centrally and\nuniformly. Package boundaries are managed automatically via bundling and code\nsplitting.\n\nYou will have one and only one list of dependencies. Your `package.json` files\nwill be generated from that source configuration. Same for `tsconfig.json`.\nThe source configuration file - believe it or not - allows code comments.\n\nUnirepo is _fast_ because it is ships as a native binary and builds your code\nusing [esbuild][1].\n\nAdditionally, Unirepo has a `run` subcommand that acts as a substitute for\n[`ts-node`][2]. The `run` subcommand also supports a `--watch` flag, and so\nacts as a substitute for [`node-dev`][3] (or [`ts-node-dev`][4]) as well.\nSourcemaps are always enabled.\n\nAs mentioned, Unirepo is extremely opinionated. They must export a `main` function.\n- Use `uni build some-package` to pre-compile into `out/dist`.\n\n### Publishing\n\nHere's the steps to do in your CI flow:\n\n1. `uni build --version $VERSION --types` to create packages with version numbers and types definitions.\n2. `uni pack` to create packed `.tgz` files.\n3. `uni publish` to automate `npm publish ./path/to/package.tgz`.\n\n## Other Features\n\n### Patching\n\nThe [patch-package][5] utility is always available.\n\n### Engine Checking\n\nFunctionality similar to [check-engine][6] is builtin, but much faster\nand with caching.\n\n### Executables\n\nAny runnable script can be exposed as an executable in a package.
