Simply run dslink.nds on your\nDS console, wait for it to connect and use the command line dslink host\ntool to send an nds file.\n\u003c/p\u003e\u003cpre\u003e\tdslink [-a ip address] \u0026lt;ndsfile\u0026gt;\n\u003c/pre\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\n\u003c/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe dslink host uses UDP broadcast messages to discover your DS\nbut this won't work for some people due to routers either not passing on\n these packets or sending them at a speed the DS can't read. If you get\n\"No Response from DS!\" then try specifiying the ip address of your DS\nwith the -a switch.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eDSi mode\u003c/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHere's the part most people will probably be interested in, homebrew running in DSi mode.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhile playing around with the \u003ca href=\"\"\u003esave game exploits\u003c/a\u003e for Cooking Coach\n and Classic Word Games I created back in 2010 I discovered two things\n about the flashchip on the wifi module where the firmware would be stored\n on a normal DS. (1) It contains only the setup data for wifi, the user settings\n and the wifi connection settings and, (2) Part of it is writable, from DS mode. This\nwas what finally gave me the motivation to revisit an old project to\nupload homebrew to the DS over wifi.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003einstallDSiLink.nds will, when run from a DSi compatible card in DS\nmode, write the dslink client to the wifi flash chip and this can then\nbe bootstrapped from the save game exploits mentioned above. You'll need\n to write the appropriate .SAV file from this archive to your game of\nchoice from either a DS with \u003ca href=\"http://blog.davr.org/2007/03/31/eepinator/\"\u003eeepinator\u003c/a\u003e\n or use one of the save game transfer devices around. Cooking Coach is\nmore convenient since the exploit kicks in just after the splash screen,\n with Classic Word Games you need to go through a couple of menu\noptions.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnfortunately testing revealed that later model DSi and XL consoles\nhave had changes made to the wifi board which means that writing to the\n firmware flash chip is no longer possible. You'll know if you have one\nof these consoles if either the installer fails to write the loader or\nthe loader fails to connect when bootstrapped. Sorry if you have one of\nthese consoles, you'll have to wait a little bit longer to play with DSi\n mode.\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn March 2012 Nintendo released firmware version 1.4.4 which checks for these\nexploits and writes a 0 to the end of the string before launching the games.\n\u003cp\u003eAt the end of 2014 we found another exploitable DSi hybrid game - The Biggest Loser USA\nand this archive now contains save file exploits for the EU and US versions.\n\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003elibnds still needs some more updates to deal with DSi mode features,\ncurrently the swi decompression functions seem to have changed and we\nhave no microphone input.
