@chime/devices\n\nThis package contains a React context provider and a hook around the [AWS Chime SDK](https://aws.amazon.com/chime/chime-sdk/). It allows you to get a list of audio/video devices and select a current device which it will keep in state.\n\n## Install\n\nThis package has a peer dependency on `amazon-chime-sdk-js`.\n\nYou can install the package using npm like this.\n\n```sh\n$ npm i @chime/devices amazon-chime-sdk-js\n```\n\nor with Yarn.\n\n```sh\n$ yarn add @chime/devices amazon-chime-sdk-js\n```\n\n## Use in your code\n\n### `ChimeDevicesProvider`\n\nWrap yout `\u003cApp\u003e` (or your components that will be using devices) in a `\u003cChimeDevicesProvider\u003e` as follows.\n\n```jsx\n\u003cChimeDevicesProvider\u003e\n  \u003cApp /\u003e\n\u003c/ChimeDevicesProvider\u003e\n```\n\nOptions props to `\u003cChimeDevicesProvider\u003e` include.\n\n#### `deviceController`\n\nThis is an optional `DefaultDeviceController` object.\nSee [AWS Chime documentation](https://aws.github.io/amazon-chime-sdk-js/classes/defaultdevicecontroller.html) for more information.\n\nYou could pass a custom controller that has logging enabled, for example.\nIt's also used to mock during testing.\n\n#### `initialAudioInputDeviceId`\n\nThe initial audio input device id (i.e. microphone) to use.\nYou could persist the user's choice and use this to initialize the selection.\nIf you don't specify an id, it will defaut to the first device in the list.\n\n#### `initialAudioOutDeviceId`\n\nThe initial audio output device id (i.e. speaker) to use.\nYou could persist the user's choice and use this to initialize the selection.\nIf you don't specify an id, it will defaut to the first device in the list.\n\n#### `initialVideoInputDeviceId`\n\nThe initial video input device id (i.e. camera) to use.\nYou could persist the user's choice and use this to initialize the selection.\nIf you don't specify an id, it will defaut to the first device in the list.\n\n### `useChimeDevices`\n\nYou can call `useChimeDevices` in some child component which returns the following.\n\n#### `audioInputs`\n\nA list of audio input devices (i.e. microphones). type = `{deviceId:string, label:string}[]`\n\n#### `audioOutputs`\n\nA list of audio output devices (i.e. speakers).\n\n#### `videoInputs`\n\nA list of video input devices (i.e. cameras).\n\n#### `currentAudioInputDeviceId`\n\nThe currently selected audio input device id or `null`.\n\n#### `currentAudioOutputDeviceId`\n\nThe currently selected audio output device id or `null`.\n\n#### `currentVideoInputDeviceId`\n\nThe currently selected video input device id or `null`.\n\n#### `deviceController`\n\nThe AWS Chime SDK `DefaultDeviceController` used.\n\n#### `setAudioInput`\n\nA function to set the current audio input. Pass the `deviceId` of the new audio input.\n\n#### `setAudioOutput`\n\nA function to set the current audio output. Pass the `deviceId` of the new audio output.\n\n#### `setVideoInput`\n\nA function to set the current video input.
