Then, install the Symfony Demo Application executing\nthis command anywhere in your system:\n\n```bash\n$ symfony demo\n\n# if you're using Windows:\n$ php symfony demo\n```\n\nIf the `demo` command is not available, update your Symfony Installer to the\nmost recent version executing the `symfony self-update` command.\n\n\u003e **NOTE**\n\u003e\n\u003e If you can't use the Symfony Installer, download and install the demo\n\u003e application using Git and Composer:\n\u003e\n\u003e     $ git clone https://github.com/symfony/symfony-demo\n\u003e     $ cd symfony-demo/\n\u003e     $ composer install --no-interaction\n\nUsage\n-----\n\nIf you have PHP 5.4 or higher, there is no need to configure a virtual host\nin your web server to access the application. Just use the built-in web server:\n\n```bash\n$ cd symfony-demo/\n$ php app/console server:run\n```\n\nThis command will start a web server for the Symfony application. Now you can\naccess the application in your browser at \u003chttp://localhost:8000\u003e. You can\nstop the built-in web server by pressing `Ctrl + C` while you're in the\nterminal.\n\n\u003e **NOTE**\n\u003e\n\u003e If you're using PHP 5.3, configure your web server to point at the `web/`\n\u003e directory of the project.
