Nice for testing stress\nas well as CPU throttling (for instance in a VM or container environment). It's\nalso useful for validating metrics collectors such as the `prometheus` agent\n`node-exporter`.\n\nThis tool is named after the old `cpuburn` Linux tool. I just wanted to whip up\nsomething I could compile easy for myself. Hope you find it useful!\n\n## Installation\n\n```\ncargo install cpuburn\n```\n\n## Usage\n\n```\ncpuburn\n```\n\nCombine with tools like `renice` and `tasksel` to really test how your system behaves when tapped out.\n\nPress ^C to terminate it.\n\n## Dockerfile\n\nThis repository also contains Dockerfiles which utilize staged builds to\ngive you a very small container to launch it into e.g. your Kubernetes cluster.\n\n`Dockerfile` builds the source repository; `Dockerfile.release` builds from\n[crates.io](https://crates.io/crate/cpuburn).\n\n## License\n\nMIT\n\n## Author\n\nErik Hollensbe \u003cgit@hollensbe.org\u003e\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Ferikh%2Fcpuburn","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Ferikh%2Fcpuburn","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Ferikh%2Fcpuburn/lists"}
