The app will be available at [http://localhost:3000](http://localhost:3000)\n\n### Running without Docker\nTo start the project without docker you need to do the following:\n\n- Install the project's dependencies with `yarn`\n- Specify a database URL in the proper format, for example `mysql://root:qwerty1@localhost:3306/notifications`\n- Use the database URL and start the server\n```\nDATABASE_URL=\u003cdatabase URL\u003e nodemon src/index.ts\n```\n\n### Developing\nThe development version uses [`nodemon`](https://www.npmjs.com/package/nodemon) which means that whenever you save a file, the application server will restart\n\n### Running the tests\nIf you're using Docker, you can just enter the container by running \n```\ndocker exec -it notifiations_center_app  /bin/sh\n```\nthen inside the container, run\n```\nyarn test\n```\n\nIf you're not Docker, you need to specify the URL for the test database, for example `mysql://root:qwerty1@localhost:3306/notifications_test_db` then run\n\n```\nAPP_PORT=4000 DATABASE_URL=\u003ctest database URL\u003e \u0026\u0026 yarn run prisma migrate reset --force \u0026\u0026 jest --bail --verbose\n```\n\n### Documentation\nThe API's documentation can be found on the following URL: https://www.falexandrou.com/notification-preference-center/\n\n### Reporting issues / Pull Request\nReporting issues and submit a pull requests is more than welcome.
