Group\n\nInnerSource can help break down silos, encourage internal collaboration and\ninnovation, accelerate new engineer on-boarding, and identify opportunities to\ncontribute software back to the open source world.\n\n## Introducing the InnerSource SIG\n\nThe FINOS InnerSource\n[Special Interest Group](https://github.com/finos/community/tree/main/docs/governance#special-interest-groups)\nis a community of people implementing, or interested in implementing,\nInnerSource within their financial services organization.\n\nThe InnerSource SIG is of particular importance to financial services\norganisations who wish to accelerate their InnerSource practices, share best\npractices, patterns and anti-patterns and potentially related code (e.g. for\nInnerSource tooling) in a secure environment, with the aim of contributing\nproven methods to FINOS and the wider InnerSource Commons community.\n\nWhere appropriate, the InnerSource SIG will also work with\n[InnerSource Commons](http://www.innersourcecommons.org) to share relevant\noutputs upstream to the broader InnerSource community.\n\nDiscussions have an emphasis on challenges and concerns that are particular to\nFS organizations (e.g. relating to compliance or regulatory constraints).\n\nThe InnerSource SIG target audience are individuals responsible for InnerSource\nimplementation within financial services organizations, those in Open Source\nProgram Offices interested in open source culture, behaviour and skills, or tech\nleaders wishing to increase collaboration and remove / deal with
