MdToPdf backend for Foliant\n\nThis backend generates a single PDF document from your Foliant project. It uses [md-to-pdf](https://github.com/simonhaenisch/md-to-pdf) library under the hood.\n\nmd-to-pdf supports styling with CSS, automatic syntax highlighting by [highlight.js](https://github.com/highlightjs/highlight.js), and PDF generation with [Puppeteer](https://github.com/GoogleChrome/puppeteer).\n\nMdToPdf backend for Foliant operates the `pdf` target.\n\n\n## Installation\n\nFirst install md-to-pdf on your machine:\n\n```bash\n$ npm install -g md-to-pdf\n```\n\nThen install the backend:\n\n```shell\n$ pip install foliantcontrib.mdtopdf\n```\n\n## Usage\n\n```shell\n$ foliant make pdf --with mdtopdf\nParsing config... Done\n────────────────────\nResult: MyProject.pdf\n```\n\n## Config\n\nYou don't have to put anything in the config to use MdToPdf backend. If it's installed, Foliant will detect it.\n\nYou can however customize the backend with options in `backend_config.mdtopdf` section:\n\n```yaml\nbackend_config:\n  mdtopdf:\n    mdtopdf_path: md-to-pdf\n    options:\n      stylesheet: https://cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/github-markdown-css/2.10.0/github-markdown.min.css\n      body_class: markdown-body\n      css: |-\n        .page-break { page-break-after: always; }\n        .markdown-body { font-size: 11px; }\n        .markdown-body pre \u003e code { white-space: pre-wrap; }\n```\n\n`mdtopdf_path`\n:   is the path to `md-to-pdf` executable. Default: `md-to-pdf`\n\n`options`\n:   is a mapping of options which then will be converted into JSON and fed to the md-to-pdf command.
