The data is in XML format.\n[http://timecenter.cs.aau.dk/software.htm](https://web.archive.org/web/20220120205430/http://timecenter.cs.aau.dk/software.htm)\n\nGiuseppe Maxia made the relational schema and Patrick Crews exported the data\nin relational format.\n\nThe database contains about 300,000 employee records with 2.8 million salary\nentries. The export data is 167 MB, which is not huge, but heavy enough to be\nnon-trivial for testing.\n\nThe data was generated, and as such there are inconsistencies and subtle\nproblems. Rather than removing them, we decided to leave the contents\nuntouched, and use these issues as data cleaning exercises.\n\n## Porting MySQL to SQLite\n\nThe MySQL data was ported using the [mysql2sqlite](https://github.com/dumblob/mysql2sqlite)\nconversion tool.\n\n## Database schema\n\nA database schema can be found in the [MySQL documentation](https://dev.mysql.com/doc/employee/en/sakila-structure.html).\n\n## Installation\n\n* [download](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/fracpete/employees-db-sqlite/master/employees_db-full-1.0.6.db.gz) \n  the database\n* decompress it: `gunzip employees_db-full-1.0.6.db.gz`\n* open/access it with your favorite database tool (eg [DBeaver](https://dbeaver.io/))\n\n## Disclaimer\nTo the best of my knowledge, this data is fabricated and it does not correspond to real people.
