The\ngoal is to open the door to more \"It Runs Doom!\" projects.\n\n[DOOF (Doom On One Floppy)](doof/) is a subproject that uses it to\nbuild a version of shareware Doom that fits on one floppy disk (1.44 MB\n3½\" or 1.2 MB 5¼\").\n\nWhat you will notice:\n* IWAD file size under 2MB\n* Console Doom levels\n* Restricted texture set\n* Shorter sound effects\n* Smaller font on the menu and intermission screen\n* Simplified (for size) title screen and intermission screen\n\nWhat you might be less likely to notice:\n* Fewer animation frames and rotations on monsters\n* Fewer animations on powerup animations and other items\n* Shorter music tracks\n\n## But wait, there's more!\n\n![Doom face gets squashed some more](headsquash2.png)\n\nIs a 2MB IWAD file still too large for you? The *silent* version removes\nall the sound effects and is under 1.5MB. Perfect for when running Doom on\nyour hair dryer which doesn't have a speaker anyway.\n\n## But wait, there's more!\n\n![Doom face gets squashed even more](headsquash3.png)\n\nIs a 1.5MB IWAD file still too large for you?
