Should you have any questions or require further information, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at the following email address.**\n\n**oss@gchq.gov.uk**\n\n---\n\nThis repo contains the code needed to run Gaffer using Docker or Kubernetes.\nThere are two main sub-folders, 'docker' and 'kubernetes', which contain the\nproject files you need for starting Gaffer using those services.\n\n## Running Gaffer Using Docker\n\nFor information on how to run Gaffer using Docker containers please see the\ndocumentation: [Gaffer Docker Docs](https://gchq.github.io/gaffer-doc/latest/administration-guide/gaffer-deployment/gaffer-docker/gaffer-images.html)\n\nWe also provide some example deployments with different store backings\nto help you get started learning and testing Gaffer. Please see the\n[example deployments](./docker/example-deployments/) directory for more\ndetails.\n\n## Running Gaffer Using Kubernetes\n\nFor information on how to run Gaffer using Kubernetes, please see the\ndocumentation: [Gaffer Kubernetes Docs](https://gchq.github.io/gaffer-doc/latest/administration-guide/gaffer-deployment/kubernetes-guide/running-on-kubernetes.html)\n\n## Versioning\n\nEach of the released images will be tagged with the version of the\nsoftware they represent. Every release we update the `latest` tag for each\nimage and add a new release which has the corresponding version tag.\n\nIf we release Gaffer version 2.1.2, the following images would be uploaded:\n\n- gchq/gaffer:latest\n- gchq/gaffer:2\n- gchq/gaffer:2.1\n- gchq/gaffer:2.1.2\n- gchq/gaffer:2.1.2-accumulo-2.0.1\n\nWe maintain mutable versions of latest, as well as the major, minor and bugfix\nversions of Gaffer. For reproducibility make sure to use the full version in\nyour build metadata. For `gaffer`/`gaffer-rest` images, we also create a tag\nincluding the accumulo version, this allows for compatibility with Accumulo\n1.9.3 in our tests. The `-accumulo-1.9.3` tagged images are not published but\ncan be built locally if required.\n\nThe release process is automated by GitHub actions.\n\n## Known Compatible Docker Versions\n\n- 20.10.23\n\n## Contributing\n\nWe welcome contributions to this project.
