Clone the meme.land repo\n\n```bash\ngit clone git@github.com:gnolang/memeland.git \n```\n\n#### 2. Set up environment variables\n\nCreate a `.env` file in the `ui/` folder following the template found in \n`.env.example`.\n\nTo do this, your `.env` file should contain the following:\n\n```bash\nVITE_CHAIN_ID=\u003cgno-chain-id\u003e\nVITE_CHAIN_RPC=wss://\u003cgno-chain-rpc\u003e/websocket\nVITE_REALM_PATH=\u003conchain-path-to-memeland-realm\u003e\n```\n\n### 4. Set up a local development node with `gnodev`\n\n`gnodev` is a tool that allows you to run a local Gno.land node effortlessly.\nTo get started, install `gnodev`. To do this, clone the Gno monorepo:\n\n```bash\ngit clone git@github.com:gnolang/gno.git \n```\n\nFrom the root of the Gno repo, install the all the necessary binaries and \ntools following the next steps:\n\n1. Install the `gno` \u0026 `gnodev` binaries with the following command in the root of the cloned monorepo:\n```bash\nmake install\n```\n\n2. Run the `gnodev` binary in the memeland repo, giving it paths\nto the package and realm:\n```bash\ngnodev ./api/p/memeland ./api/r/memeland\n```\n\nRunning this command will spin up a local node that the meme.land UI \nwill be able to connect to.\n\nMake sure that the chain RPC endpoint that `gnodev` is running on matches the one\nin the `.env` file.\n\n#### 3. Start the frontend with `vite`\n\nStart by running `yarn` in the `ui/` folder. After `yarn` has installed all of \nthe dependencies, run `yarn dev`.\n\n### Conclusion\n\nCongratulations!
