Inspired by http://grails.org[Grails], Griffon leverages concepts like\nConvention over Configuration, modularity, and freedom of choice. The framework\nat its core is written 100% in Java allowing developers to write their own applications\nwith only Java. Other programming languages such as Groovy may be used too, in which\ncase additional capabilities such as builders and extension methods become available.\n\nGriffon supports 2 different UI toolkits: Swing, JavaFX.\n\nGriffon encourages the use of the MVC pattern but it's not limited to a single interpretation,\nyou can for example apply standard MVC, MVP, MVVM, PMVC and others (see link:http://griffon-framework.org/tutorials/5_mvc_patterns.html[tutorial #5]).\nGriffon also follows in the spirit of the Swing Application Framework (JSR 296), it defines\na simple yet powerful application life cycle and event publishing mechanism regardless of\nthe UI toolkit of choice.\n\nSeasoned Java developers should be able to pick up the pace quickly, as the\nframework relieves them from the burden of maintaining an application structure,\nallowing them to concentrate on getting the code right.\n\nThe Griffon framework provides the following features:\n\n * Well-defined application lifecycle.\n * MVC components plus lifecycle.\n * Common application structure.\n * Dependency injection via JSR-330.\n * Resource injection.\n * Internationalization support.\n * Lightweight event bus.\n * Centralized error handling.\n * Extensible via plugins.\n * Extremely configurable.\n * Language choices. Java, Groovy.\n * UI choices: Swing, JavaFX.\n\n== Links\n\n- http://griffon-framework.org[Home]\n- http://griffon-framework.org/documentation.html[Documentation]\n- https://github.com/griffon/griffon[Source]\n- https://github.com/griffon/griffon/issues[Issue Tracker]\n- https://github.com/griffon/griffon/discussions[Discussions]\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fgriffon%2Fgriffon","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fgriffon%2Fgriffon","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fgriffon%2Fgriffon/lists"}
