Coughy? Well, CoffeeScript gives JavaScript a much more palatable\nsyntax. Of course, each of your projects include the lovely [[http://underscorejs.org/][Underscore]]\nlibrary, however, pre-pending =_.= makes your code look crummy.\n\nCoughy is \u003cahem\u003e quite wrong in that it places the Underscore library\ninto the global name space. /WHAT!?/ Yes. Just look at this beautiful\ncode:\n\n#+BEGIN_SRC coffee\n  # Sum the squares that are less than 25... right, it is 30.\n  reduce( map( range(5), (x) -\u003e x * x ),\n          (total, cur) -\u003e total + cur )\n#+END_SRC\n\nWhy do this? This certainly isn't for everyone, or every project, but\nfor working on [[http://projecteuler.net/][Project Euler]], or teaching programming concepts, this\nseems like \u003ccough\u003e an acceptable solution.\n\n** Installation\n\n   As usual, you can take advantage of this project by adding this to\n   your normal Node-related project:\n\n#+BEGIN_SRC sh\nnpm install coughy\n#+END_SRC\n\n   Now, you can create scripts that use those functions directly:\n\n#+BEGIN_SRC js\nrequire('coughy');\n#+END_SRC\n\n   *Note:* You do not need to assign the results of the coughy module\n   *because \u003cahem\u003e, it is already \u003ccough\u003e placed in the global namespace.\n\n** REPL Sweetness\n\n   By using the [[http://danielgtaylor.github.io/nesh/][Nesh project]], we can make pre-load /coughy/ in order to\n   make a better REPL:\n\n#+BEGIN_SRC sh\n  npm install -g nesh\n#+END_SRC\n\n   Then, create a Shell function like this:\n\n#+BEGIN_SRC sh\n  nesh --lang coffee --eval 'node_modules/coughy/coughy.js'\n#+END_SRC\n\n   Where =coughy.js= needs to be the filename to the magic \u003cahem\u003e script\n   that provides this pleasing abomination.\n\n** Futures\n\n   *Think of this...* An even more functional approach to development\n   is with something like the immutable data structures available from\n   [[http://swannodette.github.io/mori/][Mori]] ...
