We recommend everyone to use the new application starting with Indico 3.3.\n\n# Indico check in mobile application\n\nThis application was initially developed during the CERN OpenLab Summer Student Programme.\nAn early description of the project (for historical purposes) can be found [here].\n\n[here]: http://indico-software.org/wiki/User/Dev/ETicket\n\n## Build\n\nWe leverage [Apache Cordova](https://cordova.apache.org/)'s multi-platform capabilities to create a simple yet useful\nweb application.\nFirst of all, you'll have to install Cordova (note: npm v7 or greater required):\n\n```sh\n$ npm install -g cordova\n```\n\n### For Android development\n\nYou'll need to have the [Android SDK Tools](https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/sdk-tools.html) installed.\n[Android Studio](https://developer.android.com/studio/index.html) may also be of help if you intend to use an emulator\ninstead of a physical phone.\n\nPlease note that the `ANDROID_HOME` environment variable needs to be properly set, otherwise Cordova won't be able to\nfind the SDK.\n\n```sh\n$ cordova platform add android\n```\n\n**Note:** You need to have Android build tools 29.0.2 installed *and not have installed any version greater than 29.0.2*.\nDue to a [bug](https://github.com/apache/cordova-android/issues/1290) in `cordova-android` \u003c 10.0, which this project uses,\nit's not possible to specify the build tools version with `--gradleArg=-PcdvBuildToolsVersion=29.0.2`. Because of this, it\nwill always try to use the latest installed and fail with `Build-tool is missing DX` if they are greater than 29.0.2.\n\nIf you intend to use the emulator you may need to [create an AVD](https://developer.android.com/studio/run/managing-avds.html)\nif you don't yet have one. If you want to use a physical device, just make sure you connect it via USB.\n\nRegardless of what you choose, you'll only need to run:\n\n```sh\n$ cordova run android\n```\n\n\n### iOS Development\n\nYou will need to have XCode installed.
