Debian Docker for [Invoice Ninja](https://www.invoiceninja.com/)\n\n👑 **Features**\n\nNGINX webserver support [NGINX](https://nginx.org/)  \nBuilt-in Chrome for PDF generation and other features  \nSaxon XLST 2 engine  \nOPcache  \nMulti language support  \n\n## Get started with Docker Compose\n\nThis Debian-based image includes Chrome for enhanced PDF generation and other features. To get started:\n\n```bash\ngit clone https://github.com/invoiceninja/dockerfiles.git -b debian\ncd dockerfiles/debian\n```\n\nInstead of defining our environment variables inside our docker-compose.yml file we now define this in the `.env` file, open this file up and insert your `APP_URL`, `APP_KEY` and update the rest of the variables as required.\n\n```\nAPP_URL=http://in.localhost:8003/\nAPP_KEY=\u003cinsert your generated key in here\u003e\nAPP_DEBUG=true\nREQUIRE_HTTPS=false\nIN_USER_EMAIL=\nIN_PASSWORD=\n```\n\n## Initial account setup\n\n### Primary account setup\nPrior to starting the container for the first time, open the .env file and update the IN_USER_EMAIL and IN_PASSWORD variables with your primary account. \n\nThis will take care of the initial account setup. You can later remove these .env variables.\n\n\u003e ⚠️ **Warning**  \n\u003e If `IN_USER_EMAIL` and `IN_PASSWORD` are not set the default user email and password is \"admin@example.com\" and \"changeme!\" respectively. \n\nAfter the container has completed the first startup you can delete these two environment variables.\n\n### Generate a APP_KEY\n\nThe `APP_KEY` can be generated by running:\n\n```bash\n# If you haven't started the containers yet:\ndocker run --rm -it invoiceninja/invoiceninja-debian php artisan key:generate --show\n\n# Or if your containers are already running:\ndocker compose exec app php artisan key:generate --show\n```\n\nCopy the entire string and insert in the .env file at `APP_KEY=base64....`\n\n**Note: For PDF generation using localhost, your domain name MUST end in .test for PDFs to generate correctly due to Chrome's DNS resolver.\n\nStart the container with:\n\n```bash\ndocker compose up -d\n```\n\n**Note: When performing the setup, the Database host is ```mysql```\n\n### Updating the Image\n\nTo upgrade to a newer release image, update your docker-compose.yml first by running:\n\n```bash\ndocker compose pull\ndocker compose up -d\n```\n\nIt is recommended to perform a backup before updating.\n\n### Support\n\nIf you discover a bug, please create an issue.
