They are primarily for usage on a boat, for bringing in Internet, integrating marine electronics, sensors and marine protocols.\n\nThat being said, some of the utilities are relevant for non-boat usage (like uart_control), some of the utilities do not require to be run on a Raspberry Pi (like gpsd2nmea, aisd or aisplay) and some have nothing to do with boats or Raspbbery Pi directly (like traffic_counter). This is a catch-all repository for auxiliary utilities I developed for my boat.\n\n[uart_control](https://github.com/itemir/rpi_boat_utils/tree/master/uart_control)\n---\nTool for configuring the UART on a Raspberry Pi.\n\n[gpsd2nmea](https://github.com/itemir/rpi_boat_utils/tree/master/gpsd2nmea)\n---\nDaemon for translating gpsd messages to raw NMEA messages to be used in iNavX, iSailor etc.\n\n[traffic_counter](https://github.com/itemir/rpi_boat_utils/tree/master/traffic_counter)\n---\nCode and instructions for measuring traffic consumed on Mikrotik(RouterOS) and OpenWrt routers.\n\n[dometic_to_voltage](https://github.com/itemir/rpi_boat_utils/tree/master/dometic_to_voltage)\n---\nArduino code to turn dometic sensor readings into variable voltages for displays like Simarine Pico.\n\n[monitoringd](https://github.com/itemir/rpi_boat_utils/tree/master/monitoringd)\n---\nDaemon for retrieving pressure, temperature and humidity from a BME280 based sensor and storing them in InfluxDB, for visualizing on a Grafana dashboard.\n\n[aisplay](https://github.com/itemir/rpi_boat_utils/tree/master/aisplay)\n---\nWeb Service for displaying AIS vessels on a map.\n\n[sensord](https://github.com/itemir/rpi_boat_utils/tree/master/sensord)\n---\nSignal K Daemon for integrating a variety of different DIY Raspberry Pi sensors to a Signal K network.\n\n[aisd](https://github.com/itemir/rpi_boat_utils/tree/master/aisd)\n---\n(Unmaintained / Obsolete) Daemon for making a serial or USB based AIS (Automatic Identification System) receiver wireless enabled.\n\n\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fitemir%2Frpi_boat_utils","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fitemir%2Frpi_boat_utils","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fitemir%2Frpi_boat_utils/lists"}
