Install the\n   [script](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jamielinux/bashmount/master/bashmount)\n   somewhere in your path (eg, `/usr/bin/bashmount`).\n2. _Optional:_ Install the\n   [configuration file](https://raw.githubusercontent.com/jamielinux/bashmount/master/bashmount.conf)\n   at either `/etc/bashmount.conf` or `$HOME/.config/bashmount/config`.\n\nThere are also packages available for:\n\n- [Fedora](https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/bashmount)\n- [Arch Linux](https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/bashmount/)\n- [Gentoo](https://packages.gentoo.org/packages/sys-fs/bashmount)\n\nAdd something like this to your `$HOME/.bashrc` to make life easier:\n\n```\nalias bm='bashmount'\n```\n\n### Dependencies\n\n* `bash`\n* `eject`\n* _Optional:_ `udisks2`\n\n`udisks2` is recommended, so that regular users can manage removable media\nwithout sudo. By default, `udisks2` is auto-detected, but you can force use\nof `udisks2` on or off in the configuration file.\n\n## Configuration\n\n`bashmount` works fine without a configuration file, but there's some neat\nthings you can do.\n\nHave a look at the example\n[configuration file](https://github.com/jamielinux/bashmount/blob/master/bashmount.conf).\n\n- Open your desired file manager at the mountpoint of a device. (The default is\n  to open in your terminal.)\n- Hide certain devices from the list.\n- Configure custom commands to run on removable devices.\n- Automatically run custom commands after a mount or unmount.\n","funding_links":[],"categories":["Shell","\u003ca name=\"system\"\u003e\u003c/a\u003eSystem tools","Command-Line Productivity"],"sub_categories":[],"project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fjamielinux%2Fbashmount","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fjamielinux%2Fbashmount","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fjamielinux%2Fbashmount/lists"}
