Builds 10 complex websites.\n\n[![Build Status](https://travis-ci.org/jekyll/acceptance.svg?branch=master)](https://travis-ci.org/jekyll/acceptance)\n\n## Background\n\n[Jekyll](https://github.com/jekyll/jekyll) is a static site generator\nwritten in Ruby. Any actively-developed software project needs to be\nregularly tested. To this end, Jekyll runs unit tests and integration tests\nfor every pull request and push to `master`. Beyond this, Jekyll is tested\nby adventurous users who build their site with pre-releases or from\n`master`. Often, these real-world site builds uncover bugs that the unit \u0026\nintegration tests miss. So I asked myself, \"what if we built regularly\nagainst a hand-picked set of Jekyll sites?\"\n\n## Acceptance Testing\n\nAcceptance testing is a new concept from agile programming. In our case,\nwe're going to use it to mean real-world testing with user-created input.\nWe have a curated list of 10 sites (located in `script/cibuild`) that get\nbuilt with the latest `master` each night. If something starts breaking,\nI'll get an email.\n\n## Running\n\nWant to run this locally? You probably won't want to. It expects a clean\nenvironment at the moment. For the daring:\n\n1. `script/bootstrap`\n2. `script/cibuild`\n\nThat's it! `bootstrap` gets everything into place and `cibuild` commences\nthe building.\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fjekyll%2Facceptance","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fjekyll%2Facceptance","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fjekyll%2Facceptance/lists"}
