I used to do this\npurely by which I have submitted. This was not ideal, because\n\n * sometimes I am interested in a bug I did not submit\n   * bugs against packages I maintain\n   * bugs that I am suffering but didn't file first\n   * bugs against packages I am otherwise interested in\n * I am not interested in all bugs that I have submitted\n   * Some programs I no longer use\n\nOnce my list of open bugs hit about 100, I could no longer reliably track\nwhich needed my attention and which did not. I therefore wrote debgtd.\n\nThe intention is to let you track an arbitrary set of bugs. At the moment, it\nonly imports those reported by you or against packages you are listed as a\nmaintainer for.\n\nThe intention is to let you selectively mark some of those bugs as to be\nignored. It does this.\n\nYou can also \"sleep\" a bug. We do this if a bug does not need our attention\nright now, but will do in the future. This behaves the same as ignoring, for\nnow.\n\nWhen should a bug wake up?\n\nEither after some activity has taken place, or a given timeout.\n\nWhat activities should count?\n\nAt the moment, nothing is woken up.\n\nOther workflow\n--------------\n\nI want the tool to capture bug workflows and make it easier to track where\nyou are with them, e.g. the NMU workflow:\n\nNMU procedural information:\nhttp://www.debian.org/doc/developers-reference/ch-pkgs.en.html#s-nmu\n    * file the bug\n    * wait \"a few days\" for a response\n    * submit a patch\n    * wait \"a few more days\"\n    * announce nmu intention\n    * prepare nmu\n    * upload to delayed queue\n    * send final patch to bts, explain 7 day reaction\n\nannotations\n-----------\n\nlooking at my bug pile right now, I see some bugs that could use some\nattention, perhaps to see if they still apply, etc.: I cant' do the actual\nwork now, but I could do with making a note of the identified \"next action\"\n\nreporting bugs against debgtd\n-----------------------------\n\nTo report a bug against a version of debgtd packaged as part of Debian,\nplease submit a bug to the Debian bug tracking system (BTS).
