Those symbolic links only\nwould be created if not exists previously, in that case I recommend to make a\nbackup of the original files first.\n\nTo remove a configuration is also very easy with stow:\n\n`$ stow -D vim`\n\nand it would remove the symbolic links.\n\nAnd if you make a git pull to update this repository, you can \"reinstall\" the\nconfigurations to update them. Stow would first remove the previous symbolic\nlinks and then create the new ones.\n\n`$ stow -R vim`\n\nStow is a package that you can find in the majority of Linux distributions and\nmake the process of test/manage these configurations easier.\n\n## Content\n\nThat's the *current content* of this repository, and these are the more remarkable\nfiles.\n\n### `/awesome`\n\nConfiguration of [Awesome](http://awesome.naquadah.org/)\n\n+ `.config/awesome/awdt.py` python script that allows me to test changes in the\n  Awesome configuration. Starts a X session nested into the current session and\n  served by Xephyr, with an test configuration (Awesome) running inside it.\n\n+ `.config/awesome/prep.org` is a Org-mode format file in which I store the\n  repositories, authors and licenses of the external libraries that I use in\n  this configuration.\n\n+ `.config/awesome/check_execs.py` \u0026 `/awesome/logger.py` are symbolic links to\n  two python files that can be founded in this repository,\n  \u003chttps://github.com/joedicastro/python-recipes\u003e\n\n### `/compton`\n\nConfiguration of [Compton](https://github.com/chjj/compton)\n\n### `/dunst`\n\nConfiguration of [dunst](https://github.com/knopwob/dunst)\n\n### `/emacs`\n\nConfiguration of [Emacs](http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/)\n\n### `/firejail`\n\nConfiguration of [firejail](https://firejail.wordpress.com/)\n\n### `/fontconfig`\n\nConfiguration of [fontconfig](http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/fontconfig)\n\n### `/fonts`\n\nThe fonts that I use in my terminal, vim, etc ...\n\n - [Dejavu Sans Mono](http://dejavu-fonts.org) is a free public domain font and\n   has the probably best Unicode support from all the monospaced fonts\n   available.\n - Dejavu Sans Mono for Powerline is the same font adapted to use it with\n   Powerline in Vim\n\n### `/getmail`\n\nConfiguration of [getmail](http://pyropus.ca/software/getmail/) (an example with fake data)\n\n### `/git`\n\nConfiguration of [git](http://git-scm.com/)\n\n### `/gnupg`\n\nConfiguration of [GnuPG](https://www.gnupg.org/)\n\n### `/gtk`\n\nConfiguration of the __Gtk__ theme to fix an error with the Gvim window\n\n### `/hg`\n\nConfiguration of [Mercurial](http://mercurial.selenic.com/)\n\n### `/livestreamer`\n\nConfiguration of [Livestreamer](https://github.com/chrippa/livestreamer)\n\n### `/mpd`\n\nConfiguration of [mpd](http://mpd.wikia.com/wiki/Music_Player_Daemon_Wiki)\n\n### `/ncmpcpp`\n\nConfiguration of [ncmpcpp](http://ncmpcpp.rybczak.net/)\n\n### `/pylint`\n\nConfiguration of [Pylint](http://www.pylint.org/)\n\n### `/procmail`\n\nConfiguration of [procmail](http://www.procmail.org/)\n\n### `/ranger`\n\nConfiguration of [ranger](http://ranger.nongnu.org/)\n\n### `/systemd`\n\nConfiguration of [systemd](https://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/) user units and timers\n\n### `/tmux`\n\nConfiguration of [tmux](http://tmux.sourceforge.net/)\n\n### `/urxvt`\n\nConfiguration of [rxvt-unicode](http://software.schmorp.de/pkg/rxvt-unicode.html)\n\n#### `/vim`\n\nConfiguration of [Vim](http://www.vim.org)\n\n+ `.vimrc` the Vim configuration file\n+ `.vim/README.md` is a summary of my Vim configuration customizations\n+ `.vim/spell/` files needed for spelling\n+ `.vim/UltiSnips/` my custom [UltiSnips][ulsns] snippets\n\n  [ulsns]: https://github.com/SirVer/ultisnips\n\n### `/vimperator`\n\nConfiguration of [Vimperator](http://www.vimperator.org/vimperator)\n\n### `/xsession`\n\nConfiguration of the __X__ session\n\n+ `.xprofile` bash script to setup the X session\n+ `.config/user-dirs.dirs` default home user directories\n\n### `/zathura`\n\nConfiguration of [zathura](http://pwmt.org/projects/zathura/)\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fjoedicastro%2Fdotfiles","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fjoedicastro%2Fdotfiles","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fjoedicastro%2Fdotfiles/lists"}
