The tool can generate instances of invariants, simulate\r\n    the execution of operations (even those defined implicitly), and\r\n    check user-specified properties of a model. Alloy and its\r\n    analyzer have been used primarily to explore abstract software\r\n    designs. Its use in analyzing code for conformance to a\r\n    specification and as an automatic test case generator are being\r\n    investigated in ongoing research projects.\r\n\r\n    See the web page for a description of what's new in Alloy:\r\n\r\n        http://alloy.mit.edu/\r\n\r\n\r\nDetailed Instructions:\r\n\r\n    1.  Java 5 or later\r\n\r\n        Java runtimes are available at no economic charge from Sun and\r\n        IBM and others.  One may have come pre-installed in your OS.\r\n        Alloy does not currently work with gcj because of its limited\r\n        library support.\r\n\r\n    2.  Running Alloy on Mac OS X\r\n\r\n        Just double-click on the dmg file,\r\n        then drag the Alloy application into your application directory.\r\n\r\n    3.  Running Alloy on other platforms\r\n\r\n        Just double-click on the jar file, or type:\r\n\r\n            java -jar alloy4.jar\r\n\r\nThe source code for the Alloy Analyzer is available\r\nunder the MIT license.\r\n\r\nThe Alloy Analyzer utilizes several third-party packages whose code may\r\nbe distributed under a different license (see the various LICENSE files\r\nin the distribution for details).
