The project uses a virtual machine (VM) which is downloaded and configured using vagrant.\r\n\r\n`VirtualBox \u003chttps://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads\u003e`_ - used to run the VM.\r\n\r\n*FTP Client* - Task \u0026 answer sheets are provided over FTP.\r\n\r\n*VNC Viewer OR a Web Browser* - Most tasks supply a Kali machine that is connected to through either VNC or NoVNC in a web browser.\r\n\r\nInstallation\r\n------------\r\n\r\nOnce you have installed the required utilitiles simply start the project with Vagrant (First time setup may take some time):\r\n\r\n``vagrant up``\r\n\r\nAfter this has completed you are free to try out the scenarios!\r\n\r\nUsage\r\n-----\r\n\r\nYou can connect to the project either using `VirtualBox` to view the VM or through SSH.\r\n\r\nConnect to the device through SSH with the credentials `student`:`student` or `teacher`:`teacher` and follow the guidance from there:\r\n\r\n``ssh student@10.10.0.1``\r\n\r\nDevelopment\r\n-----------\r\n\r\nTo access the VM without being connected directly to the project, connect with Vagrant:\r\n\r\n``vagrant ssh``\r\n\r\nTo run DVNI as a developer run `start.py` from the project root.\r\n\r\n``python /vagrant/start.py``\r\n\r\nYou can also run scenarios and containers directly, although these options are available through `start.py`:\r\n\r\n``python /vagrant/scenarios/HostScanning.py``\r\n``python /vagrant/containers/``\r\n\r\nDocumentation\r\n-------------\r\nDocumentation is available online provided by `GitHub.io \u003chttps://kcyoung1997.github.io/DVNI-docs/\u003e`_.\r\n\r\nThe documentation is created with `Sphinx \u003chttp://www.sphinx-doc.org/\u003e`_ and `ReadTheDocs \u003chttp://www.sphinx-doc.org/\u003e`_.\r\nTo generate the documentation run the makefile in the `docs` folder:\r\n\r\n``make html``\r\n\r\n\r\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fkeirany%2Fdvni","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fkeirany%2Fdvni","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fkeirany%2Fdvni/lists"}
